The third major attraction to be added to Disneyland's Avengers Campus, which celebrated its first anniversary this year, will join the Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy rides. The new attraction will have a Multiverse theme and challenge visitors against "King Thanos," a new iteration of the character from an alternate reality where Thanos defeated the Avengers.

At the Disney Legends Awards presentation for D23, CEO Bob Chapek suggested that the Avengers Campus would move "deeper into the multiverse" when he initially revealed the ride.

Chapek hinted during the ceremony that "guests will fight alongside superheroes and against villains from anywhere." And there may even be ones you aren't even aware of yet!

During the Disney Parks panel at D23, Kevin Feige provided additional details on the new ride, according to CNET. With the line, "This is a Thanos that won, and the Avengers are not too pleased about it, and you have to aid them," Feige introduced the new King Thanos antagonist in the panel.

The COVID-19 epidemic caused a delay, but Avengers Campus at California's Disneyland Resort finally opened its doors in June 2021. In the new area, in addition to the already existing Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout attraction, a brand-new ride with a Spider-Man motif premiered. The Campus also has a Doctor Strange-themed area, an Ant-Man-themed restaurant, and wandering Marvel Cinematic Universe characters.
